   NEW ONE DC Initiative!!  

We proudly announce our newest initiative to support the growth and development

of progressive organizing in DC.

ONE DC (formerly Manna CDC) is committed to the development of new, indigenous, and dynamic organizers and popular educators in the District. We strongly believe that unless we build the capacity of our own residents, we will not create lasting policy change. To this end, we have developed a new initiative that will nurture and support a talented, local individual in the following areas:

• analysis of popular education & liberatory pedagogies

• human rights and critical analysis of systemic racism, classism, etc.

• facilitation/training/curriculum development

• progressive organizing models (strategic planning, campaign development, media advocacy, etc.)

• outreach & recruitment

• coalition building and networking

We have now identified our first Fellow, to begin in January 06!! We hope this to be the first of many concrete efforts ONE DC puts forward for the sustainable growth of local, talented leaders.
